50 SX - 2019

Model Description

With the KTM 50 SX, young motocross riders between 4 and 10 years of age can really take off. The fully-fledged bike is ideal for getting into the world of motocross. Just like its bigger brothers, the KTM 50 SX is equipped with top-quality components. The bike, which is designed from the ground up for young riders is easy to control and features very steady power delivery. The automatic clutch is ideal for novices on two wheels – it enables budding motocross racers to concentrate on the essentials and very quickly learn the basic skills.
The modern 2-stroke engine is extremely compact and with its easily controlled smooth power delivery is ideal for motocross beginners. As a result of its 3-shaft design, the crankshaft is very close to the bike's centre of gravity, which has a positive impact on the handling. Another benefit of this design is a flow-optimized intake angle into the reed valve, which results in and impressive performance. Because of the multidisc automatic clutch developed by KTM, power from the engine can be very easily controlled. As a result, the KTM 50 SX combines extremely well behaved handling with maximum riding fun. If required, the clutch can be adjusted to the rider's personal needs within minutes and with no special tools required, or to the specific requirements of each individual track. For inexperienced novices, the engine power can be reduced to 5.4 bhp using a special kit from the KTM PowerParts program.
The KTM 50 SX is fitted with an ultra-lightweight, fully adjustable WP AER 35 air fork. This upside-down fork with a 35 mm tube diameter and 205 mm of travel offers junior riders an outstanding ride, excellent damping characteristics and unrivaled directional stability. Another benefit is that it incorporates an air spring in the left fork leg, which can be adjusted to the rider's weight using a simple air fork pump.

The PDS shock absorber from WP is connected directly to the swingarm and features excellent damping characteristics. It can be adjusted to the rider's individual preferences and track conditions. The suspension travel of the KTM 50 SX is 185 mm.
