As expected, the protagonist at Magny Cours was the weather. Rain and autumn temperatures conditions race procedures, cancelling the WSS warm-up and making the first WSBK race a wet one, delayed fifteen minutes and shortened from twenty-two to nineteen laps.

This was a situation that brought out Leon Camier's riding qualities and his feeling with the F4 RC. The Brit began the weekend with an excellent seventh time in qualifiers and ended it by riding a textbook Race 1. Off the line well, the Brit fell immediately in line behind reigning world champion and wet ride specialist Guintoli, fending off attacks on his position by Haslam's Aprilia and the two Ducatis ridden by Davies and Baiocco.

Seven laps from the end Leon began his comeback, first breaking away
from the two Englishmen and four laps later losing the Italian, who he
left in his exhaust to fly under the chequered flag in fifth place, the best ever result for the MV Agusta F4 RC.

This is a gift the English rider has given to all the Reparto Corse team fans, many of whom were on hand directly from the Schiranna headquarters. Unfortunately,
in Race 2 some problems with the gearbox kept Camier from repeating the
performance, finishing in 15th place after a lightning fast start which rocketed him into fourth place.

In the WSS race, shortened two laps due to the wet tarmac, things were further conditioned by a red flag that came out after Manfredi's Honda had engine trouble in the fourth lap. After the restart Zanetti made his nth comeback ride, starting off slowly but skilfully clawing his way back up to finish in fourth place, snatched in the last lap from Smith's Honda CBR. It was a difficult weekend for Nico Terol, who struggled to find the right feeling in the wet, finishing the race in fourteenth place,
whereas the race was won by American rider Jacobsen ahead of Kenan
Sofuoglu who, with this second place finish, takes his fourth
championship title.

The next appointment will be the last round of the season which will be held on 18 October at the Losail circuit in Qatar.
