THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF MV AGUSTA IN A BOOK
Varese, April 5, 2016 – “MV AGUSTA From 1945 to the Present” is a completely recreated and updated edition with the graphic content of the historical monograph by Mario Colombo and Roberto Patrignani. Dedicated to the company of Cascina Costa, reborn in the nineties thanks to the great passion of a man who dedicated his life to motorcycles: Claudio Castiglioni.
Within its pages is the story of this legendary brand and its competitive triumphs by Carlo Ubbiali, Mike Hailwood and Giacomo Agostini, which in 2015 celebrated its 70th birthday. The history is described in two distinct sections; the first part covering human affairs, technical aspects, industrial and sporting achievements. In the second, the systematic cataloging of all the models, both road and track, including versions of the iconic F4, F3 and Brutale models that all exude the concept of excellence in world motorcycle production.
Hundreds of monochrome and colour images enrich the 360-page book dedicated to this prestigious brand, which has contributions from Massimo Chierici and Franco Daudo, for the most recent part.

TOUR OF THE ISLANDS ON MV AGUSTA TURISMO VELOCE 800
The illustrious Dakar rider Alessandro “Ciro” De Petri, in collaboration with MV Agusta, is
organizing an exclusive 7 day trip riding the new Turismo Veloce 800. Destination? The three largest Mediterranean
islands and, after 1850 km, arrival at the MV Agusta factory in Schiranna – Varese for a company visit which will mark the
The first stage includes an itinerary on the slopes of Etna, while the second will bring the group on the legendary “Targa
Florio”, an old and prestigious early twentieth century automobile race route, then finally the port of Palermo for
boarding. The next morning, arrival at Cagliari and after about 400 km of winding roads on the Riviera di Ponente, the
participants will arrive at Alghero. Once through the Barbagia mountains they will then reach the Emerald Coast. Next day
is Corsica’s turn, with boarding from Santa Teresa di Gallura towards Bonifacio, a tour through characteristic island
locations. Then, after having set sail from Bastia, the motorcyclists will arrive at Savona and will travel the remaining 270
Bound to the Varese manufacturer since the days of the great African races riding a Cagiva Elefant, Ciro and his De Petri

Lewis Hamilton & MV Augusta Dragster RR
We are thrilled to announce that MV Agusta has teamed up with 2x Formula One World Champion, Lewis Hamilton to release a stunning new version of the Dragster RR motorcycle.
Working closely with the MV Agusta CRC (Castiglioni Research Center) design team, Lewis ensured that bike specifications and performance perfectly matched his requirements. The creation of the Dragster RR bike comprised of an on-going collaborative process between the F1 World Champion and the MV Agusta Team, from concept to hand assembled production.

In France a superb Leon Camier finishes fifth: best result ever for the MV Agusta F4 in the WSBK championship
As expected, the protagonist at Magny Cours was the weather. Rain and autumn temperatures conditions race procedures, cancelling the WSS warm-up and making the first WSBK race a wet one, delayed fifteen minutes and shortened from twenty-two to nineteen laps.
This was a situation that brought out Leon Camier's riding qualities and his feeling with the F4 RC. The Brit began the weekend with an excellent seventh time in qualifiers and ended it by riding a textbook Race 1. Off the line well, the Brit fell immediately in line behind reigning world champion and wet ride specialist Guintoli, fending off attacks on his position by Haslam's Aprilia and the two Ducatis ridden by Davies and Baiocco.
Seven laps from the end Leon began his comeback, first breaking away
from the two Englishmen and four laps later losing the Italian, who he
left in his exhaust to fly under the chequered flag in fifth place, the best ever result for the MV Agusta F4 RC.
This is a gift the English rider has given to all the Reparto Corse team fans, many of whom were on hand directly from the Schiranna headquarters. Unfortunately,
in Race 2 some problems with the gearbox kept Camier from repeating the
performance, finishing in 15th place after a lightning fast start which rocketed him into fourth place.
In the WSS race, shortened two laps due to the wet tarmac, things were further conditioned by a red flag that came out after Manfredi's Honda had engine trouble in the fourth lap. After the restart Zanetti made his nth comeback ride, starting off slowly but skilfully clawing his way back up to finish in fourth place, snatched in the last lap from Smith's Honda CBR. It was a difficult weekend for Nico Terol, who struggled to find the right feeling in the wet, finishing the race in fourteenth place,
whereas the race was won by American rider Jacobsen ahead of Kenan
Sofuoglu who, with this second place finish, takes his fourth
championship title.
The next appointment will be the last round of the season which will be held on 18 October at the Losail circuit in Qatar.
NICO TEROL TO CONTINUE ASTRIDE THE F3RC IN THE NEXT TWO RACES
The Spaniard, following his excellent performance at Jerez, will
take to the track under the Reparto Corse colours at Magny Cours and
Losail.
Called upon to urgently step in for the injured Jules Cluzel, Nico Terol today signed an agreement to ride in the final two races of the 2015 season.
He'll pull on his new MV Agusta Reparto Corse leathers this weekend in France for the penultimate round of the championship, which will be held at the Magny Cours circuit in Burgundy, to then finish out the season at Losail, in Qatar, on 18 October.
On his début at Jerez he used his clean and efficient riding style to
adapt quickly to the new category and finished his first WSS race in
fifth place.
“I'm truly happy about this chance that MV Agusta has given me. I
had never raced in WSS and I didn't know how the bike and grooved tyres
would react, so the Jerez race was sort of a “running-in” race for me,
with respect to both the bike and the Reparto Corse team. Now I'm
confident that I can set my sights on the podium and, together with
Zanetti, earn the points needed to bring the Manufacturer title home to
Schiranna.”
Nico Terol was born on 27 September 1988 at Alcoy, near Alicante. He
began racing at a very young age, taking his first win at Indianapolis
in 2008 in the 125 GP class. Three years later he earned the 125 world
title, winning eight races. He also raced in Moto2 for three seasons,
taking two second place finishes, and this year he made his début in
WSBK and then moved to WSS at Jerez.

NEW MV AGUSTA F3 RC: WSS EXPERIENCE
A road-going replica of the MV Agusta F3 by Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo
Zanetti hot from the Schiranna Reparto Corse. The F3 RC, produced in a
limited edition of 100 bikes in the 675 configuration and 250 in the
meatier 800 configuration, faithfully reproduces the graphics of the
Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti motorbike. To certify the originality
of each bike, every F3 RC is autographed by both riders, #16 Cluzel on
the right side panel and #87 Lorenzo Zanetti on the left.
At Jerez Team Reparto Corse reacts to the loss of Cluzel with character
The Andalusian weekend began with a shock for the Reparto Corse team: Jules Cluzel’s crash on Friday in the second free practice session at
over 200 km/h, with a consequent fracture to his left tibia and
dislocated right shoulder. It was the end of the dream to bring the 38th
world championship title home to Schiranna, a result that well within
reach of the Frenchman who, during the 2015 season took three wins, four second places, five fastest laps and six pole positions. However, the disappointment did not crack the integrity of the Reparto Corse team, which finished the weekend putting Lorenzo Zanetti on the podium and achieving the best performance of the season with Camier. The performance of Spaniard Nico Terol was also consistent, taking a strong fifth place.
In the race Lorenzo Zanetti, after a poor start and after getting away from Faccani and Smith, settled stably into third place, making up ground on Jacobsen in the final laps, but not enough to make an attack on his second place behind race winner Sofuoglu.
Nico Terol, 125 class world champion in 2011 also put in a good performance in his WSS début.
A new bike, tyres and adversaries did not intimidate him, so much that
he even held onto fourth place for a few laps behind Zanetti, crossing
under the chequered flag in fifth.
In WSBK Leon Camier, after missing out on qualifying in Q2 by a hair because of a malfunction with the quick-shift, rode
two superb races. In Race 1 he finished in 9th place after riding in
eighth place during the race 2 ahead of world champion Sylvain Guintoli,
confirming the efficient upgrades made on his F4RC, which here at Jerez
raced with a new swingarm and a modified exhaust system.
Lorenzo Zanetti #87 had this to say after his fifth podium of the season:” I
made a mistake at the start which is my weak point. Maybe I need to
start taking some courses because my pace was up with the leaders today
and if I hadn’t lost time at the start I would have been able to battle
for the win!
The next round is scheduled for 4 October, the last European round in France at Magny Cours before the grand finale in Qatar. For the occasion more than a hundred MV Agusta employees will join the dealerships and Cluzel fans in the grand stands to support Team Reparto Corse in their quest to win the manufacturer title which currently has MV Agusta lying second at 189 points, just behind Kawasaki with 197.
In the second free practice session the duel between Cluzel and Sofuoglu
came to an end. The Frenchman fell victim to a violent crash at over
200 km/h during his 15th lap, fracturing his left tibia and dislocating
his right shoulder. This is a bitter end to a textbook season where
Jules took three wins, four second places, five fastest laps and an impressive six pole positions. For team Reparto Corse all that's left now is to defend their leadership in the manufacturer's championship. To give Lorenzo Zanetti a hand in this undertaking the team called on Nico Terol, 2011 world champion in the 125 class. Whilst
awaiting news on Jules Cluzel's recovery time, the 26 year old Spaniard
will be on the track tomorrow for qualifying astride the Frenchman's
number 88 F3 RC.
The Missoni branded MV Agusta F3 will be on display at MAGA during the Missoni, l'Arte e il Colore show
The motorbike will be displayed until the 15th November which will
end in an auction with all proceeds being donated to the Museum in
Gallarate, Italy.
It won in its debut and has left the racetrack for the museum,
becoming a precious piece for collectors of motorbike art. This is the
fortunate destiny of the MV Agusta F3 Missoni that Jules Cluzel raced to
success this past 21 June on the track in Misano, paving the way for a
new battle in the race to conquer the WSS championship title. Beyond the
results of the race, fans certainly can’t forget the splendid “Missoni,
l’Arte e il Colore” image, which was inspired by a painting by Ottavio,
adorning the aerodynamic shapes of the motorbikes of the Reparto Corse
team. A pattern that has been replicated today in a truly unique way for
a piece based on the MV Agusta F3 800 and displayed in the area of
MA*GA dedicated to the show “Missoni l'Arte e il Colore.”
Beyond just the engine size – 800 cc instead of 675 cc – the motorbike,
which will be auctioned off at the end of the exhibition, stands out
from the original for its carbon license plate with the Reparto Corse
logo bearing the numbers 001/001 as well as for the Missoni logo outline
on the petrol tank with the words “Unique Replica World Supersport
Winner at Misano Circuit 2015,” made all the more valuable with Jules
Cull’s signature.
Lewis Hamilton burn out the MV Agusta Dragster RR to celebrate his win at Monza with Mercedes-AMG-Petronas
Latest F1 GP in Monza round up with another success signed by Lewis Hamilton, second the Ferrari's driver Sebastian Vettel and third Felipe Massa. Lewis lead the Monza GP from start to finish but was made to wait for three hours his win was finally confirmed.
Since then, the british rider starting to celebrates his succes with a single handed burn-out front of a fans and medias. In the Hamilton's garage there's also another MV Agusta: one F4RR painted in special color scheme with his race numberplate: 44.

MV AGUSTA F3 800 AGO: THE LEGEND CONTINUES
Tricolour, gold and that Number 1: the fairings of the campionissimo

MV AGUSTA AND JULES CLUZEL ON THE PODIUM AGAIN
In the third round of the World Supersport championship, MV Agusta
and French rider Jules Cluzel were back on the podium again. The poor
start, which saw both riders of the MV Agusta Reparto Corse – Yakhnich
Motorsport Team lose
several positions, made the race a difficult, uphill challenge. While
Jules Cluzel managed to disentangle himself and reach the group fighting
for fourth place, Vladimir Leonov got boxed in, coming into direct
contact with other
riders numerous times. Nevertheless, the two riders fought like lions,
and Jules managed to conquer a fantastic third place. He now lies 4th in
the overall standings, just eight points behind the leader Florian
Marino.
Jules Cluzel: “It was a very long, hard race. I didn’t get off to a
good start and initially found myself fighting for 7th/8th place. I
wasn’t at my best today, but was still convinced I could make it into
the top four and, in the
end, that’s exactly what happened. Zanetti put in a great performance,
attacking all the time, but I managed to get past him and clinch fourth
place: then Sofuoglu’s unexpected retirement gifted me a place on the
podium. We need to
keep on working hard to make our bike even more competitive at the next
race”.
Vladimir Leonov: “I made a mistake at the start and lost several
positions. I tried to claw back as many as possible, but it’s hard to
fight back when you’re continually obstructed by close-quarters fighting
in the midst of the
bunch and can’t make full use of our bike’s outstanding speed. I was
pushed off the track not once, but twice! At a certain point one of my
rivals hit me as I was heading into a left-hand bend and damaged both
the exhaust and my
leather suit. Luckily, I managed to stay on the bike. It was tough, but I
managed to recover and finish twelfth.
Superbike Race 1 unexpectedly took place on a dry track so the riders
were able to battle it out under the best possible conditions. For much
of the time Claudio Corti was straddling 16th place, but in the second
half of the
race he started closing the gap between him and the group in front and
then managed to bridge it entirely. In the closing stages of the race
the rider from Como was lapping about half a second faster than the
three/four riders
preceding him, but an early red flag meant he had to be content with
14th place. In Race 2, in the wet, Claudio was clearly demonstrating
both his own racing talent and the excellent set-up of his F4 RR (from
both a suspension
and electronic viewpoint) as, lap after lap, he made his way up the
field. Unluckily, when Claudio was in ninth place, the transponder
caused him to fall. The lithium battery inside the transponder exploded
so the latter stopped
sending the control unit the signal indicating the bike’s passage over
the finishing line; this put the entire electronic set-up out of phase
and Corti suddenly found he had no traction control. Hence the
inevitable fall.
Claudio Corti: “We were really unlucky! The morning race wasn’t easy.
Our goal has always been to stay ahead of the EVOs. We’d almost reached
them but, just as the opportunity for us to attack came, the race was
interrupted.
I reckon I could otherwise have gained at least three more positions. In
the afternoon things got even more complicated as we have no racing
experience in such tough weather. I started in 17th place, but still
managed to climb back
to 9th. We were in the top ten, ahead of the EVOs. Unfortunately we
hadn’t reckoned with the compulsory transponder. Its internal lithium
battery exploded so the transponder stopped working and failed to send
the control unit the
over-the-finish-line signal; this sent all the electronic set-ups
haywire. I found myself cornering without traction control and that’s
why I fell. I’m also really sorry for the team because they worked their
hearts out this weekend.”
